Tactical Note Card - (designed, printed and taped)
Your customizable wallet-card that will last more than 15 years with heavy use, built to bend with your lifestyle, and resets with a simple pencil and eraser!
The Tactical Note Card started as an idea in the United States Army Ranger Regiment as a simple reference card to help young soldiers lead the morning exercise warmups (It quickly evolved into a life-saving reference card to help speed up the process of evacuating soldiers wounded in combat, and an easy way to attach a maintenance log to a specific piece of equipment). For morning PT, laminated cards were too rigid, they poked, and they cracked and broke over time. Paper got sweaty, ripped, and needed to be printed again. The solution was blending the benefits of laminate and the comfort and utility of paper.
Each card has a base layer of protection using long-lasting storage and packing tape. This is all that is needed for reference cards. Making them suitable for filling out with a pencil came as a checklist idea for kids to brush their teeth daily, and though it took more than a decade for this evolution to take place, the solution was to simply place another layer of tape that could be written on, erased and easily removed, Magic Tape.
There are practically unlimited ways to employ this simple tech, but here are some ideas that have already been put to good use:
Blank dotted-grid Notecards for saving the trees
Contact Cards for children’s backpacks
Fillable Exercise Cards to record weights and repetitions
Chores and Allowance Trackers for kids
Work Vehicle mileage log
Golf Scorecards
Meal Recorder & Water Log
Warmup and Cooldown Routine (Ranger BN)
“Days Sober” counter
Quick Notes for work estimates
Images show the 18-year old original, OG, Ranger PT warmup and cooldown card, a wallet for size reference, and examples of the new product as it is made today along with a clean digital copy of the warmup and cooldown cards. Once upon a time the tape was just slapped on and crossed over itself. Now it is installed with surgical precision so that the tape finishes at the top, leaving only one edge susceptible to damage.
